EVANESCENCE Score No. 1 Single In The U.K.
June 8, 2003EVANESCENCE's "Bring Me To Life" has knocked R. KELLY off the top spot on the U.K. singles chart this week.
"Bring Me To Life", which features Paul McCoy of 12 STONES, comes off EVANESCENCE's major label debut, "Fallen", which has been certified gold in the U.K. for sales in excess of 100,000 copies.
"Fallen", which debuted in the U.K. charts six weeks ago at No. 18, and climbed the following week to No. 12, was also recently certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipments of more than 1,000,000 copies in the U.S.
EVANESCENCE will make their U.K. headlining debut the London Astoria on June 19.
